Surrendering to Love and receiving the Warmth of Love through the Ceremonies of Death and Planetary Healing will have planted the seed of the Sound of Love within you. Creating two altars (or one two-sided one) to honor the allies who gifted the power of this seed may keep the path clear for it’s growth while it germinates. I’ve chosen representations of Oya and Chango to reside in my current “birthing” (writing) area because the Thunderbeings have always been close to my creative heart. Although I was instructed in the meditation of the sound of breath (the “So-Hung”) during my first youthful initiation, it has taken me almost four decades to recognize the sound of my own breath and the wind it rides upon. Just as we hear the ocean in a shell, we can hear our own song within ourselves if we listen. Performing some type of rhythmic motion while listening to your inner landscape will amplify this sound. If you are able to form a song or poem through this listening (and then vocalize it)you are an adept at Birthing already. Sometimes the seed sound will be there to couple with your own intent and create specifically or assist another in their desire for creation. Sometimes, like our own physical births, the creating may be ongoing, or not even of our own choosing, remaining unrevealed until it bursts forth. If you have yet to open to this Ceremony of Birth now is the time to call upon the ally who guards your own cosmic egg. Listen with closed ears and the invocation of your heart’s song will carry you to this meeting place. If necessary a visit to Great Grandmother Ocean will clarify…provided you accept her own time. May your birthing be joyful as you move toward the next Ceremony.
