Transitions:Three Coins and a Wolf Bone

At some point recapitulation is always necessary, in fact it is precisely when you are ready to meet the first of these seven helpers that you can do nothing but recapitulate. Lucky are we who need not draw the near death experience card in order to conduct this life review. There are many ways to recap: play reruns of your life movies in your mind, make a collage, list lessons learned, etc. just take the time to do it completely so that you are clear about what you want to leave behind or take forward if you must. The guardian of Transitions is a true Trickster, and when presented with fuzzy intent may leave you chasing your own tail. My choice of doorway for this most recent meeting was the crossroads but there are many other options (such as the vision quest circle) and gentler ones are no less productive. A meditative walk with some left turns may be in order,or traveling to the other side of train tracks, crossing a bridge, even fording waters. Decide on a gift to bring as a gratitude offering for simply meeting the ally/god/goddess whom you feel can best assist you. Each invitation to meet is the ceremony, a ceremony for the only true power: Love. Implied in the act of invitation is the understanding of each potential ally’s right to refuse or defer the invitation. (My suggestion to pursuers of more forceful magicks is to look elsewhere.)Returning after leaving your offering and completing your petition you may decide to construct an altar for this guardian somewhere near the threshold of your home. You will know if your request has been accepted because the opportunity for the second  meeting (the ceremony of Death) will appear close on the heels of Transitions’ change. Good Luck.

About dreamingmoon

I, Aurora Dreaming Moon am a Dreamer, Sister, Lover, Mother, Grandmother and sometime Writer, Poet, Artist, Musician...who at the age of 11 made my first conscious choice to seek the path of Truth by throwing a yarrow stick reading for my youthfully petulant demand of : "Tell me the purpose of life now or I'm out of here !" The spirits in all their wisdom and humour responded in kind with the complete changing hexagram : Ch'ien to K'un which I interpreted to mean "...a complete understanding of the universe ". Thus appropriately chastised, though laughingly mollified and defeated in my attempt at an easy way out, I was lovingly set back on this never ending journey we call life. I am still trying to accomplish my assignment :) What you'll find in these blogs are just sharings of some of my most heartfelt experiences along the way. May they be of service to all reader pilgrims who cross this path.
